Half of workers in Serbia earn a salary of 85,000 dinars
According to data published by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, the median net salary for July 2025 amounted to 85,000 dinars, which means that 50 percent of employees received earnings up to that amount.
Growth in gross salaries in the period from January to July 2025, compared to the same period last year, was 11.1 percent nominally, or 6.4 percent in real terms, while the average net salary was higher by 11 percent nominally, or 6.3 percent in real terms.
Compared to the same month of the previous year, the average gross salary for July 2025 was higher by 11.4 percent nominally, and 6.2 percent in real terms, while the average net salary was higher by 11.5 percent nominally, or 6.3 percent in real terms.
The lowest net salaries in July were received by entrepreneurs and their employees, who on average earned 57,686 dinars.
The average net salary for employees in the public sector in July amounted to 112,662 dinars.
