More than 350 judicial seats are vacant in Kazakhstan, said Denis Shipp, Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council of Kazakhstan.
“Today there are more than 350 vacant positions for judges throughout the country. We believe that the proposed changes will help fill these vacancies,” Shipp said, answering questions during the discussion of the draft law “On Amendments and Additions to the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On the Judicial System and the Status of Judges of the Republic of Kazakhstan” in the first reading at a joint meeting of the chambers of parliament Kazakhstan.
According to him, for example, the position of a judge in the Tarbagatai district of East Kazakhstan region has remained vacant for 3 years.
“There are no people willing to work there,” he added.
