Unemployment rate amounted to 4.6% in Kazakhstan in Q4 2024

According to the results of Q4 2024, the number of unemployed in the country reached 448.3 thousand people (4.6%), the share of youth amounted to 6.6%, reads the report.
“The unemployment rate (according to the methodology of the International Labor Organization) amounted to 4.6%. The number of unemployed (according to the methodology of the ILO) amounted to 448.3 thousand people. The share of NEET youth who are not working and not engaged in education or vocational training amounted to 6.6%,” reads the report.
According to statistics, the employment rate among the population aged over 15 years old was 65%, and in terms of the workforce – 95.4%.
57.4 thousand people applied to employment agencies, more than 50 thousand were employed. During the quarter, 2.8 thousand people were sent for vocational training, 1.7 thousand – for community service.
