Average salary in March 108,013 dinars
The average net salary in Serbia calculated for March 2025 amounted to 108,013 dinars, while the average gross salary reached 148,652 dinars, according to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia.
Compared to March of the previous year, net and gross salaries increased nominally by 11.5 percent and in real terms by 6.8 percent. In the period from January to March 2025, compared to the same period last year, there was a nominal increase of 11.2 percent and a real growth of 6.4 percent.
The median net salary for March was 81,793 dinars, meaning that half of the employed population earned up to that amount.
Belgraders and Bor residents at the top
The highest average salaries are still recorded in central Belgrade municipalities – Stari Grad (191,397 dinars), Vračar (187,205), New Belgrade (179,953) and Savski Venac (175,776), where net wages significantly exceeded 1,000 euros.
That threshold was also crossed in the municipalities of Voždovac (144,956), Zvezdara (141,442), Zemun (128,565), Palilula (123,636) and Rakovica (122,658).
Outside Belgrade, the only city with an average salary above 1,000 euros was Bor, with 132,728 dinars.
Lowest salaries in Southern Serbia
On the other hand, municipalities in southern Serbia continue to record the lowest average salaries.
In March, the lowest earnings were received by employees in Preševo (72,188 dinars), Vranjska Banja (72,253) and Vlasotince (73,867), which is almost half of the income earned in central Belgrade municipalities.
