Details: According to the study, in the fourth quarter of last year, about 242,000 Ukrainians were employed, 165,000 of whom worked in jobs for which social insurance contributions are paid.
In 2022, their share in the workforce was still 0.2%.
According to the study, growth is primarily concentrated in small and medium-sized companies.
Two-thirds of employed Ukrainians worked in companies with 10 to 249 employees.
Earlier, Markus Söder, Prime Minister of the German federal state of Bavaria, called for an increase in employment incentives in Germany, including for Ukrainian refugees.
Söder also called for the abolition of social assistance payments to Ukrainian refugees, which are provided to those who are looking for work or whose income is insufficient to support themselves.
He expressed his belief that social payments are discouraging many Ukrainians from seeking employment in Germany.
