The Business Registers Agency introduces new company registration fees
The Managing Board of the Business Registers Agency (APR) has adopted a new Decision on Fees for Registration and Other Services, which defines the types, amounts, and payment methods of fees for all procedures carried out by the Agency – from the establishment of companies and associations to the registration of media outlets, travel agencies, and bankruptcy proceedings. This decision will take effect on 1 January 2026.
Under the new rules, the fee for registering the establishment of a business entity, public enterprise, cooperative, association, foundation, chamber, sports association, healthcare or cultural institution, as well as the representative offices of foreign organisations, is 8,000 dinars.
The same fee applies to cooperative unions, representative offices of foreign chambers and foundations, as well as other organisations whose establishment is registered in accordance with the law.
For entities registered in special registers – such as media outlets, travel agencies, bankruptcy estates, and suppliers – the fee is 4,000 dinars. This amount also applies to the issuance or renewal of a licence for travel agencies that organise trips.
If a change in data regarding an existing entity is registered or a note is added, the fee is 4,000 dinars. If the application contains multiple registration or note items, the price increases by 3,000 dinars for each additional item.
For entities in the second group (such as media outlets, suppliers, and travel agencies), the fee for registering changes or notes is 2,000 dinars, with an additional 1,000 dinars charged for each extra item.
In addition, a supplementary fee of 6,260 dinars has been introduced for cases where a change application is submitted late.
Branch registration and deletion
The formation of a branch of a domestic legal entity also costs 4,000 dinars per branch, with the same amount applying for subsequent registration of changes or deletion of that branch. If multiple branches are registered, the fee increases by 3,000 dinars for each additional branch.
The deletion of an entity from the register costs 4,000 dinars for basic entities and 2,000 dinars for those in special registers (such as media outlets or travel agencies).
Change of legal form and status changes
When a legal entity changes its legal form (for example, from a limited liability company to a joint-stock company), the fee is 8,000 dinars. The same amount – 8,000 dinars – is charged for status changes (mergers, acquisitions, or divisions) for each legal entity involved in the process.
Additionally, smaller fees have been introduced for the reservation, transfer, or renewal of a name reservation, amounting to 2,000 dinars, as well as a special surcharge of 500 dinars for the registration of ownership or co-ownership of a business share.
Bankruptcy registration up to 12,000 dinars
A fee of 12,000 dinars has been set for registering data on the initiation of bankruptcy proceedings against a legal entity, while for micro legal entities it is half that amount, at 6,000 dinars. This fee is paid by the person who, by a court decision, is obliged to pay an advance towards the costs of bankruptcy registration, and proof of payment must be submitted to the Business Registers Agency (APR) together with the court documentation.
For publishing documents in accordance with the law, such as financial statements, assembly decisions, contracts, or notices, the fee is 1,000 dinars per document. The same fee applies for removing already published documents from the register.
Transcripts and certificates cost between 800 and 6,260 dinars
According to the new rules, the issuance of official documents such as transcripts and certificates is no longer standardised – the amounts depend on the type of entity and the document requested. For example, companies, public enterprises, cooperatives, or associations will pay 2,500 dinars for a registrar’s decision transcript or an extract of registered data, while the same service will cost 1,500 dinars for media outlets, travel agencies, or bankruptcy estates.
A certificate confirming that an entity is not registered, or that no requested data exists in the register, also varies in price: 1,500 dinars for legal entities and 1,000 dinars for other categories. A certificate of legal succession, often required during status changes, costs 2,000 dinars per legal entity.
Those seeking access to historical data or documents on which an entity was registered will pay 800 dinars per data item, while travel agencies will pay 6,260 dinars for a formal (ceremonial) version of their licence. The fee for extracts from the Central Register of Ultimate Beneficial Owners is 2,500 dinars, and certificates from this register cost 1,500 dinars per beneficial owner.
Establishment and data changes for small businesses
The Business Registers Agency has also set specific fees for the registration of sole traders. Opening a business requires a payment of 2,500 dinars, which covers the entire registration process.
If a small business owner later wishes to change any details or add a note, the fee is 1,400 dinars, while each additional change within the same application increases the amount by 700 dinars per item. The same fee applies for registering or deleting a separate business unit. If multiple business units are listed in one application, the fee increases according to the same rule – by 700 dinars per location.
If a small business owner wishes to reserve, transfer, or renew the business name, the fee is 1,400 dinars, and the same amount applies for deletion from the register.
Certificates and extracts for small business owners
Like legal entities, small business owners can also request transcripts and certificates from the register. The fee for a registrar’s decision transcript or an extract of registered data is 1,500 dinars, while a certificate confirming that a small business owner is not registered or that a piece of data does not exist costs 1,000 dinars.
A separate fee has been defined for the certificate of legal succession for small business owners – 1,200 dinars per person, as well as for certificates of data from documentation and historical records – 700 dinars per data item.
