The average net salary in Serbia in January was 118,429 dinars

The average salary without taxes and contributions (net) in Serbia in January this year amounted to 118,429 dinars, while the gross salary stood at 163,385 dinars, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia announced today.

The median net salary was 92,671 dinars, meaning that 50 per cent of employees earned up to that amount.

Compared with the same month of the previous year, the average gross salary was nominally higher by 10.1 per cent and in real terms by 7.5 per cent, while the average net salary increased nominally by 10.2 per cent, or 7.6 per cent in real terms.

Compared with December 2025, the average gross salary for January 2026 was nominally lower by 3.8 per cent and in real terms by 4.1 per cent, while the average net salary was nominally lower by 4.6 per cent and in real terms by 4.9 per cent.
