Georgia’s FDI rose 19.3% to $1.9 billion in 2025
Geostat reports that the volume of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Georgia amounted to $1.9 billion in 2025, 19.3% higher than the corresponding figure for 2024 and 12.5% above the preliminary 2025 figure.
The data published by Geostat show that the level of reinvestment remained high. Of the $1.9 billion in FDI recorded in 2025, $1.5675 billion was reinvestment, while new investment [equity] amounted to only $686 million. This means reinvestment accounted for 82.5% of total FDI last year.
Geostat reports that the largest amounts of investment came from the United Kingdom ($426.6 million), Azerbaijan ($214.4 million) and Türkiye ($202.4 million).
The largest share of FDI went to the financial and insurance activities sector, which received $633 million, accounting for 33.3% of total FDI. Real estate ranked second with $254.7 million (13.4%), followed by the trade sector with $191 million (10%).
