The most popular vacancies on the Ukrainian labor market have been named
The State Employment Service has published a list of the most popular vacancies in Ukraine. The leaders in demand are salespeople (21 thousand vacancies), drivers (9 thousand), and cooks, engineers and accountants (6 thousand each).
The greatest demand in the Ukrainian labor market, as before the war, remains for skilled workers and trade workers. This was reported by UNN with reference to the State Employment Service.
The top 10 professions by the number of available job offers on the Unified Job Portal, created by the State Employment Service in cooperation with six leading Ukrainian job search sites, are as follows:
salesperson – 21 thousand vacancies;
driver – 9 thousand vacancies;
cook – 6 thousand vacancies;
engineer – 6 thousand vacancies;
accountant-6 thousand vacancies;
specialist – 5 thousand vacancies;
loader – 5 thousand vacancies;
doctor-4 thousand vacancies;
barista – 3 thousand vacancies;
seamstress – 3 thousand vacancies.
As of November 1, 2024, the database of the State Employment Service contains 71 thousand current vacancies.
Most often, employers are looking for:
Workers in the maintenance and operation of equipment and machinery, such as drivers, turners, tractor drivers, and specialized machinery operators (20% of vacancies).
Skilled workers with tools, such as seamstresses, mechanics, electric and gas welders, bakers, and painters (19% of vacancies).
Trade and service workers: cooks, salespeople, security guards, waiters, bartenders, social workers, hairdressers (14% of vacancies).
Professionals: teachers, educators, lecturers, pharmacists, engineers, general practitioners, family doctors, etc. (14% of vacancies).
Unskilled workers: auxiliary workers, cleaners, porters, janitors (12% of vacancies).
Other specialists: teacher assistants, accountants, and nurses (11% of vacancies).
The Civil Service adds that the level of remuneration depends on many factors: experience, complexity of tasks, qualifications, special working conditions, etc. Employers often require applicants to have a high level of education, knowledge of foreign languages, the ability to work in stressful situations and solve complex production problems. It may also be related to the availability of certain abilities and skills: communication skills, initiative, adaptability, etc.
In the database of the employment service, there are job offers with a relatively high level of wages, in particular for:
software engineers – UAH 110 thousand, chief engineers – UAH 88 thousand, drivers – UAH 80 thousand, supply managers (managers) – UAH 77 thousand, general practitioners – UAH 60 thousand, tractor drivers – UAH 50 thousand.
