Foreign businesses continue to enter Ukraine: 709 new companies in seven months
In the first seven months of 2026, 709 new companies with foreign owners were registered in Ukraine. This is 6% more than during the same period in 2025, when 672 such businesses were established. In total, the founders of the new companies represent 65 countries. This was reported on OpenDataBot, according to “Komersant Ukrainian”.
China Overtakes Turkey
Over the course of seven months, Chinese citizens established 114 companies in Ukraine, nearly three times as many as a year earlier. They account for 16% of all new businesses with foreign beneficiaries.
Turkey came in second place with 98 companies (14%). At the same time, the number of new Turkish businesses decreased by 6% over the year.
Next in the ranking:
the United States—62 companies (9%)
Germany — 44 (6%)
Azerbaijan—35 (5%).
In five other companies, the owners are listed as stateless persons, and 13 businesses have beneficiaries from several countries.
Kyiv remains the main hub for foreign business
Half of the new companies with foreign owners are registered in the capital—360 businesses.
The Odesa region ranks second with 110 companies (16%), followed by the Lviv region with 78 (11%). Rounding out the top five are the Kyiv region with 22 companies and the Khmelnytskyi region with 20.
Most Popular Business Sectors
Wholesale trade has become the most popular sector for foreign entrepreneurs. It accounts for 167 new companies, or 24% of the total.
Another 57 companies are involved in real estate, 54 are in construction, 45 are in IT, and 40 are head offices.
Which Companies Have the Largest Capital
Kyiv-based “Agrotech Investytsiya” has the largest declared authorized capital among new enterprises—400.04 million UAH. Its beneficial owner is from Italy, and its primary activity is financial services.
In second place is “Esco-GasService” with an authorized capital of 250 million UAH. The company is engaged in natural gas production, and its owner is a Cypriot citizen.
“Prodzensi Ukraine” ranks third with a registered capital of 76.14 million UAH. The beneficial owner is a German citizen.
According to the study, only one of the 709 new companies had an owner from a country on the list of offshore zones at the time of registration. This was “NH Development,” whose beneficiaries at the time included a person from the Seychelles. Currently, the company’s owners are listed as beneficiaries from Latvia.
